Scope
The Real Estate Broker Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day leadership, management, and operations of a full-service real estate branch. This role is crucial for achieving the annual goals aligned with the brokerage's business plan. The Branch Manager directly impacts the company's profitability, operational efficiency, agent recruitment and retention, and the productivity of Sales Representatives and Brokers. Additionally, the Broker/Manager will form part of the Company's Leadership Team that meets regularly to discuss their various accountabilities and projects. The Broker/Manager shall ensure that the Branch(es) for which they are responsible comply with the Act and the regulations.
Accountabilities
- Optimizes Profitability: Enhances the branch's profitability by recruiting and retaining a skilled and productive team of agents, supported by dedicated, customer-focused staff.
- Leadership: Reports to the CEO/Broker of Record/Director of Operations and supervises Sales Representatives, Brokers, and Support Staff.
Ideal Applicant
- Desire for Growth: Strong passion for developing and growing a full-service RE/MAX brokerage.
- Licensed REALTOR®: Must be a licensed REALTOR®, preferably with an Ontario Broker's license, and a minimum of three years of experience in real estate sales and brokerage management.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership, management, and people skills.
- Recruitment Expertise: Ability to recruit, develop, and lead a dynamic team of real estate professionals in line with industry standards.
- Goal-Oriented: Proven ability to meet and exceed business plan goals and recruiting targets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation/training skills.
- Tech Savvy: Strong knowledge of the latest real estate technology/tools and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting:
- Actively engage in daily recruiting activities to attract both new and experienced real estate agents.
- Assist in developing and adhering to recruiting action plans and strategies to attract top-producing agents.
- Participate in all recruiting meetings and initiatives hosted by RE/MAX Canada.
Retention:
- Develop and maintain relationships with each agent at the branch, being available to provide assistance and support.
- Conduct quarterly meetings with agents to discuss production, offer coaching and advice, and promote participation in company events and training.
- Take on a leadership role within the branch, being present and engaged with the team.
Problem Solving:
- Assist agents with listings and offers as needed, providing answers and solutions to questions and issues as they arise.
- Participate in conflict resolution by communicating with other brokerages, their agents, buyers, and sellers.
Staff Management:
- Provide support to the Branch Administrator and all other support staff.
- Understand the s and daily functions of the branch staff.
- Collaborate with the head of human resources to address staff issues and maintain high standards.
Training:
- Involved in training and developing new courses for agents.
- Act as a mentor and coach to agents who need and want such services.
- Regularly visit various regions to provide in-person training as directed.
- Additional duties in the Career Development Department as assigned.
Education:
- Stay current with all TRREB, OREA, CREA, and RECO issues.
- Familiarize with all training offered by the company.
- Keep up-to-date with technology updates in the real estate brokerage industry.
