Job Title: Information Specialist – Safety Branch (Call Centre) Hiring in Dartmouth, NS

Location: Onsite – Dartmouth, NS

Duration: Contract (July 6th, 2026 – September 11th, 2026) (with potential of extension_

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and reputable public-sector organization, is seeking Information Specialists (Call Centre Agents) to support its Safety Branch operations. The selected candidates will play a key role in supporting a high-volume public information line, ensuring inquiries are handled efficiently and contributing to the community's overall safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls professionally and respond to inquiries from employers, stakeholders, and the general public
• Provide accurate, clear, and timely information related to workplace safety
• Assess, triage, and prioritize calls, including identifying reports of urgent or imminent workplace hazards
• Escalate critical issues in accordance with established protocols
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions
• Uphold confidentiality and ensure data integrity at all times
• Collaborate with internal teams to support service delivery and meet performance expectations

Qualifications & Experience

• Prior experience in a call centre, customer service, or client-facing role is strongly preferred
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment when prioritizing and escalating calls
• Comfortable handling sensitive or high-pressure situations with professionalism
• Proficiency in computer systems and data entry
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
