Join The Michener Institute as an Assistant Professor in Respiratory Therapy. This temporary full-time role focuses on academic leadership, student engagement, and maintaining professional standards. The Michener Institute of Education at UHN, located in downtown Toronto, is seeking an Assistant Professor for its Respiratory Therapy program. Candidates must hold a Baccalaureate degree in Science or a related field and preferably a Master’s degree. Successful applicants will provide academic leadership, supervise projects, and manage course assessments while fostering an engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic leadership and uphold professional standards
- Teach various subjects in the Respiratory Therapy program
- Supervise and guide student projects and assessments
- Offer timely, constructive feedback and support to students
- Collaborate with colleagues and departments for educational excellence
- Baccalaureate degree in Science; Master’s preferred
- 3-5 years of clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy
- Registration with the CRTO
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with online learning platforms is an asset
