Personal Care Specialist (12-month contract)

Cencora seeks a Personal Care Specialist for a 12-month remote contract in British Columbia to support pharmacy operations. The role involves prior authorization processing, insurance verification, financial assistance enrollment, and patient coordination within a healthcare support function.
Responsibilities
- Process prior authorization requests by collecting documentation, completing forms, submitting to payers, and tracking status
- Verify insurance coverage by reviewing cards, checking formulary details, and documenting coverage information
- Support financial assistance enrollment by collecting patient eligibility data and submitting copay applications
- Coordinate specialty pharmacy referrals including form processing, benefit verification, and patient scheduling
- Record patient interactions, update case notes in pharmacy systems, and maintain privacy compliance
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years in pharmacy support, prior authorization, insurance verification, or healthcare administration
- HIPAA or applicable compliance training required
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, life sciences, or pharmacy technology preferred
Compensation: $52,500-$82,390 CAD
