Executive Director HDGH Foundation/ Director of Volunteer Services and Academic Placements

Job Description

In collaboration with the HDGH Senior Team, the Executive Director of the HDGH Foundation (HDGHF) provides strategic organizational and administrative leadership within the policy frameworks of the organization. The incumbent will link a variety of programs and community partners in an agenda of quality, access, system transformation and service improvement. This role is a key success factor in the strategic priority of the Identity Driver and will establish and maintain a positive identity for HDGH.

Responsibilities

• Identify and explore opportunities for partnership and collaborative working arrangements to support overall organizational change towards sustaining a patient/family centered care environment.
• Establish an annual operating budget based on program priorities in collaboration with appropriate members of the team.
• Plan programs and revise existing programs in collaboration with program staff and the management team.
• Provide leadership and oversight of all Foundation Fundraising activities and Signature Events; oversee all donor relations; manage all third‑party fundraising partnerships; develop annual strategic goals and objectives.
• Report to and be accountable to the HDGHF Board of Directors with direct reporting responsibilities to the Board and all associated Board Committees; provide board reports, committee reports, annual reports, fundraising objectives, preparation and submission of the annual operating budgets; adhere to Canada Revenue Agency Fundraising Guidelines and oversee all Foundation Employees.

Education and/or Certification

Masters Degree of Public Administration or Business – Required
