About The Concept AgencyThe Concept Agency is a boutique DTC growth marketing agency focusing on beauty, wellness, skincare, fragrance, jewelry, and lifestyle brands. We pair sharp strategy with creative execution to grow our clients' revenue through Shopify, email, social, and brand — building digital experiences that actually convert.
The RoleWe're looking for a front-end designer who can build and customize Shopify themes from the ground up — and who can also own email and SMS marketing in Klaviyo. This is a hands-on build role: you'll be in the code and in the campaigns, translating brand and design direction into high-converting storefronts and email programs for our DTC clients.
You'll own the front-end build and digital experience for a portfolio of beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands, partnering closely with our creative and account teams.
What You'll DoShopify & Front-End Development
- Build, customize, and maintain Shopify themes from scratch and from design files — not just configure pre-built themes
- Write clean, semantic HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and Liquid
- Build custom sections and blocks on Online Store 2.0; work with metafields and metaobjects
- Translate Figma designs into responsive, mobile-first, pixel-accurate storefronts
- Optimize site performance, page speed, and conversion across the e-commerce funnel
- Manage app integrations and troubleshoot theme issues
Email & SMS (Klaviyo)
- Build, optimize, and deploy campaigns and automated flows in Klaviyo
- Design on-brand, responsive email templates
- Own list management, segmentation, deliverability, A/B testing, and KPI reporting
- Develop email strategy tied to each client's revenue goals; build retention and LTV flows
Collaboration
- Partner with creative, social, and account teams to deliver fully integrated campaigns
- Identify opportunities to improve the client's digital experience
- Proven Shopify theme development experience — building and customizing themes, not just configuring them
- Strong HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and Liquid
- Experience building Online Store 2.0 sections, working with metafields, and translating Figma into code
- A genuine eye for design and detail — able to produce polished, on-brand, responsive work
- 2+ years of email or retention marketing experience — Klaviyo required
- Experience designing and coding responsive email templates
- 1+ year of SMS marketing experience
- Experience with DTC brands and ecommerce
- Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously
- A portfolio of Shopify builds and email work
- SEO fundamentals and Google Analytics
- Exposure to paid media (paid search, paid social, display)
- Git / version control
LogisticsFull-time, remote, 35 hours per week.
