The Public Safety Officer helps protect people, property, and facilities by conducting patrols, responding to incidents and emergencies, managing access and crowds, identifying hazards, checks ID’s and supporting a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patrol operations and monitor facilities, grounds, and surrounding areas.
- Respond to incidents and provide emergency assistance as needed.
- Manage access control and support orderly crowd movement.
- Perform safety inspections and monitor potential hazards.
- Document incidents and activities through clear, timely reports.
- Preserve evidence in accordance with established procedures.
- Support IT security and identify conditions that may affect safety. Keep a log of all devices signed out.
- Recommend changes to improve safety and reduce hazards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in public safety operations.
We welcome students! We know as students you are going to need experience when you graduate to get a better job. This job has mostly flexible hours, other than board meetings.
