THE POSITION
- Manages highly complex Commercial General Liability claim investigations, including coverage issues, liability, compensability, and damages
- Determines when claims should be settled or litigated and implements appropriate resolution strategies
- Effectively manages loss costs and claim expenses
- Coordinates discovery and litigation strategy with staff counsel and attorneys
- Provides recommendations to management regarding complex CGL claim strategies, processes, and resolution approaches
- Maintains current knowledge of provincial/federal regulations, industry trends, and emerging risks impacting CGL claims
MUST HAVES
- Minimum 8 years of claims experience with significant exposure to CGL claims
- Advanced technical knowledge and high‑exposure claim resolution
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; professional designation preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business‑related software
