PROFILE Gowling WLG is a trusted resource for practical, commercially astute real estate and banking advice. Our diverse clientele includes global financial institutions, high profile real estate players, and all five of the largest Canadian banks. We provide comprehensive support across the full lifecycle of commercial real estate projects and banking transactions, tailoring our approach to our client's needs. We are seeking to hire a Commercial Real Estate and Financial Services Law Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will bring excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, utmost professionalism, and a genuine interest in these areas of law. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and issue all documents necessary from start to completion on all commercial real estate and financial services transactions;
• Drafting of agreements, contracts and financing documents;
• Facilitate all requisite security registrations;
• Drafting of agreements, contracts, and financing documents;
• Review of leases and leasing agreements;
• Manage trust accounting and reporting;
• Liaise with all internal and external parties involved with the proceedings, including preparation of correspondence;
• Coordinate flow of documents between the legal professionals, various internal and external individuals, and clients at all levels;
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Three to five years as a Law Clerk/Paralegal with emphasis on Commercial Real Estate and Banking/Financial Services;
• Law Clerk/Paralegal is preferred, or relevant experience will be considered;
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, including the ability to take direction and receive mentoring from team members;
• Demonstrated commitment to a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion is required;
• Excellent prioritization and organization skills;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Advanced problem solving skills and flexibility, including the ability to set priorities while dealing with conflicting and emerging priorities;
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, APPRES, SPIN, and Kofax Power PDF.
