Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced, results-driven Showroom / Retail Manager to oversee daily operations, drive business growth, and lead a high-performing team within a premium, design-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, sound business judgment, and experience building relationships with designers, architects, builders, contractors, and other trade professionals. This individual will play a key role in driving sales performance, strengthening industry relationships, and delivering an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
• Establish performance expectations, monitor results, and support ongoing employee development.
• Ensure consistently high standards of service, professionalism, and client engagement.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily priorities to support business objectives.

Sales & Business Development

• Drive sales performance and achieve revenue and business objectives through effective leadership and relationship management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with interior designers, architects, builders, contractors, and other trade professionals.
• Identify new business opportunities and strengthen existing client partnerships.
• Develop long-term relationships that encourage repeat business, referrals, and continued growth.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve results.

Operations & Business Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, organization, and consistency.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, organization, and overall professionalism.
• Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience and effective business processes.
• Take ownership of operational challenges and implement practical solutions to support business growth.

Client Experience & Relationship Management

• Ensure an exceptional client experience at every stage of the customer journey.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and trade partners through strong communication and follow-through.
• Address client concerns professionally and efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous management experience in retail, showroom operations, or a similar client-facing business environment.
• Experience working within the design industry or a premium, service-oriented environment.
• Proven experience working with designers, architects, builders, contractors, and other trade professionals.
• Demonstrated success in managing, developing, and motivating a high-performing team.
• Strong sales, business development, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Sound business judgment and a track record of achieving business objectives.
