What is the Position?

As a Client Controller, you have the unique opportunity to be a leader within the VAS team while also working with a variety of clients and gaining in-depth knowledge of their day-to-day accounting operations.

As a leader, you will:

· Mentor, support, and coach junior accountants;

· Promote a supportive, collaborative, and super-awesome team environment;

· Identify process improvements, using the latest technology to ensure efficiency and accuracy; and

· Build relationships with clients as well as their extended support network (including their tax accountant and other professional service providers).

As a Client Controller, you will:

· Oversee the day-to-day coordination of accurate financial reporting and on-time processing of client information;

· Manage bank, payroll, A/R, A/P and other balance sheet account reconciliations;

· Handle a multitude of accounting activities (general ledger prep, financial reporting, year-end working paper preparation, budget and forecast activities); and

· Maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

· Have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience;

· Possess strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills;

· Learn technology quickly and have strong skills and experience in cloud-based technology; and

· Have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, or an applicable field. CPA designation is an asset.
