As a Senior Engineer at AltaLink, you will leverage your expertise to evaluate transmission line performance and conduct thorough analyses. Your work will involve leading compliance testing, coordinating emergency repairs, and engaging in root cause failure analyses. This position is integral to maintaining reliable utility services and working closely with the Control Centre on outage requests. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct analysis and reporting on transmission line failures
• Lead condition assessments and compliance testing
• Evaluate encroachment for facilities near transmission lines
• Support urgent repairs and field team needs
• Generate Transmission Line Ratings according to standards Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of utility experience
• Experience in transmission line design
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Utilize your engineering expertise to ensure secure and reliable operations at AltaLink.
