CAD Specialist

Job Responsibility:

Stilmas Americas, based in Burlington Ontario, manufactures a line of water purification equipment platforms that are compliant with the current USP Purified Water (PW) and Water for Injection (WFI) standards. We specialize in standard and custom engineered turn-key systems along with all the supporting validation operations.

Stilmas Americas is the hub for selling, engineering, manufacturing and servicing Pharmaceutical Water equipment in North America, offering a complete range of technologies in the North American Pharmaceutical market.

Stilmas Americas is currently seeking an

CAD Specialist

Reporting to the Mechanical/Process Engineering Manager the CAD Specialist will support Engineers by preparing 3D solid models using detailed process drawings, mechanical and electro/mechanical drawings to improve product manufacturability, product quality and product cost. Additionally, The CAD Specialist will perform drawing checks to confirm accuracy and acceptability guided by drafting standards and specifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Update CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks

· Work with Engineering to design manufacturing tooling and fixtures.

· Work with Engineering to create and update component specifications.

· Work with Engineering to create and update assembly drawings.

· Work with Engineering to create piping bill of materials.

· Work with Engineering to create and update processe skids floor layouts.

· Ensure drawing standards are met.

· Maintain CAD library.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

Minimum Requirements:

· 2 year Associates Degree from a Technical or Community College in Mechanical Design/Drafting and/or Computer Aided Design-Mechanical Specialty

· 2 years mechanical drafting using CAD

· Ability to read and understand engineering specifications and drawings

· Proficiency in the use of SolidWorks

Preferred Experience/Skills:

· 2-5 years of product design and/or manufacturing support experience using SolidWorks, preferably within the phramceutical industry.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

· CAD experience with a variety of manufactured components and assemblies, including machined, piping fitting, valves and instruments,

· CAD experience with creating and modifying skid assembly and process drawings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
