Inside Security Staff – The Roxy Cabaret (Vancouver, BC) Part-Time or Full-Time | Evening & Late-Night Shifts **Applicants MUST hold a valid BST (Basic Security Training) License**
The Roxy Cabaret is a Vancouver nightlife landmark, known for its live music, packed dance floor, and legendary party atmosphere-open 365 days a year. We’re looking for professional, confident, people-focused Inside Security Staff to join our team and help ensure our guests have a safe, fun, and memorable night out.
About the Role Inside Security Staff play a key role in maintaining safety, managing crowd flow, and supporting our operations team throughout the night. You’ll be stationed inside the venue and will work closely with other security personnel, management, and staff to uphold The Roxy’s hospitality-first approach to nightlife security.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor guest safety and behaviour inside the venue
- Proactively identify and address potential risks or unsafe situations
- Assist with crowd management on the dance floor, stage area, and throughout the building Respond to incidents professionally, calmly, and in accordance with policy
- Support ID checks and intoxication assessments as required
- Communicate clearly with the security team and management through the night
- Assist with venue clearing at close and end-of-night duties afterward
- Maintain a welcoming, respectful, guest-oriented approach to security
Requirements: Valid BST (Basic Security Training) License
REQUIRED:
- Availability to work late-night shifts
- Strong situational awareness and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
- Physically able to stand for long periods and navigate a busy venue
- Previous bar/nightclub security experience is an asset
