For generations, guests have indulged in Hotel Georgia’s charming ambience, remarkable service and landmark location.Anticipates potential problems and reacts to disturbances and prohibited conduct. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Resolve guests complaints, ensuring guests satisfaction.
a) scheduled group activities and house count.
b) hotel facilities and services.
d) facility layout.
e) fire and emergency plans.
Review department log records and be familiar with pertinent information relevant to the daily shift.
Review the hotel status and follow up actions with the previous shift officer.
Contact the Security Manager immediately for emergency situations.
Monitor surveillance cameras.
Conduct designated investigations into theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food poisoning complaints and other guests complaints; Assist in moving/removing guests room possessions, inventory and security of such
Maintain confidentiality of all Security and hotel reports/documents; Answer the departmental telephone.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a Security Officer Position or directly related position. Hotel experience is an asset.
- Education: High school diploma
- work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data. Technical Skills: -Must have a valid/current Security License issued by the Province of BC. -Must have a valid OFA 2 (first aid), CPR, & AED certificates, -Must have a valid Class 5 (or better) BC Drivers License, and be able to provide current drviing abstract, with 3 demerit points or less over the last 5 years. -Knowledge of Criminal Code and municipal by-laws. -Knowledge of hotel layout, security policies and procedures, knowledge of Hotel functions. -Proficiency with Microsoft office products. -Language: Required to speak, read and write English. Additional language is an asset.
- Basic Security Training; The hourly wage range for this position is $21.95 to $24.58, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
