What matters most in this role is your sharp eye and strong attention to detail. As an Industrial Security Guard , you'll proactively identify risks, maintain a visible security presence, and help protect critical transit infrastructure before incidents escalate.

Responsibilities for Industrial Security Guard

• Conduct routine interior/exterior patrols of the site.
• Maintain a highly visible security presence to deter trespassing, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Approach and professionally remove unauthorized individuals and vagrants from the property in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor the bus parking area for suspicious or unsafe activity and report incidents promptly.
• Complete patrol logs, scan point verification, and detailed incident reports as required.
• Respond to security concerns and communicate effectively with dispatch and site contacts.
• Provide security services only within the assigned areas. 

Qualifications for Industrial Security Guard

• Be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license
• First aid certification - an asset 
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
