Public Health Nurse Position in Winnipeg
Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA)
Elevate community health as a Public Health Nurse in Winnipeg. This role focuses on promoting health, preventing diseases, and serving diverse populations across various settings. As a Public Health Nurse, you will engage with individuals, families, and communities, applying public health principles to enhance health outcomes. You will work collaboratively within the Population Public Health team and support health equity initiatives while addressing diverse needs. Key skills include experience in harm reduction, disease prevention, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities:
• Promote reproductive and sexual health through education
• Implement immunization programs for disease prevention
• Advocate for vulnerable populations and health equity
• Collaborate with community partners to address health determinants
• Support perinatal health for women and families Requirements:
• Baccalaureate Nursing Degree required
• Minimum two years of recent nursing experience
• Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
• Six months of harm reduction experience required
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License needed Utilize your nursing skills to enhance community health and promote equity as a Public Health Nurse in Winnipeg.
