Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our Vancouver-based finance team. This role will work with our clients not only in Canada, but also include US and Asia Pacific client base.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, proficiency with various accounting software, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization through accurate record-keeping, account reconciliation, and supporting financial reporting processes. The Intermediate Accountant will play a key role in maintaining compliance and ensuring the integrity of financial data across multiple platforms.

Duties

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
• Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify financial data accuracy
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other systems for bookkeeping and financial management
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and account analysis to support decision-making
• Conduct auditing activities to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
• Prepare financial reports and statements in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
• Support payroll processing and related activities
• Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and ensure data integrity

Qualifications

• CPA students welcome!  We are open to accept current CPA candidates who are working on obtaining their designation.
• Must be fluent in  English and Mandarin Chinese
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar accounting role with intermediate-level responsibilities
• Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other relevant tools
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and auditing procedures
• Knowledge of corporate finance principles, budgeting, and financial services
• Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Relevant certifications or degrees in Accounting or Finance are preferred but not required
