The Opportunity

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically capable Email Marketing Specialist (Marketing Automation & Lifecycle) to support the execution and optimization of PICTON Investments’ email marketing programs across the full advisor lifecycle. This role is critical to ensuring our email communications are timely, accurate, personalized, and aligned with broader client experience (CX) journeys.

The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the hands-on building, testing, and deployment of marketing emails, automated journeys, and sales communications. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of creative, data, and technology, and who takes pride in clean builds, strong QA processes, and continuous improvement.

In addition to day-to-day execution, you will contribute to refining email best practices, templates, and reporting, helping the team scale more efficiently and deliver increasingly relevant advisor experiences.

The expected base salary for this role is $70,000–$90,000, with the final number depending on your experience, skills, education, and team budget. On top of that, you’ll be eligible for our discretionary bonus program.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a strong email execution specialist with a solid technical foundation and a collaborative mindset.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 3–5+ years of experience in email marketing or marketing automation, with hands-on responsibility for building and deploying email campaigns and journeys.


• Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS , with the ability to build, edit, and troubleshoot responsive email templates across devices and clients.


• Direct experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud , including Email Studio and Journey Builder; experience supporting triggered, automated, and lifecycle-based journeys is a strong asset.


• Working knowledge of AMPscript (preferred) and comfort applying personalization logic within emails and journeys.


• SQL experience for audience segmentation and data extensions is a strong bonus.


• Experience managing end-to-end email execution: audience selection, segmentation, scheduling, QA, approvals, and deployment.


• Familiarity with email compliance and accessibility standards (e.g., CASL, unsubscribe management, accessibility best practices).


• Experience monitoring and interpreting email performance metrics (opens, clicks, conversions, unsubscribes) and surfacing insights to inform optimization.


• Strong attention to detail and QA discipline, with a clear understanding of how small errors can impact client experience and brand trust.


• Familiarity with sales enablement tools such as Seismic or distributed marketing platforms is an asset.
