Accounts Payable Clerk

Ember is looking for a permanent  Accounts Payable Clerk  for our downtown Calgary office team, who can operate in a fast-paced environment. This position is deadline driven so candidates must have excellent time-management skills. Previous experience with the Qbyte Financial System is preferred, and experience with OpenInvoice and CheqMaster is an asset.

Duties include

• Manage accounts payable emails
• Enter invoices and payment requests into OpenInvoice
• Upload employee expense reports
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (EFT and cheques)
• Upload cheque files to CheqMaster
• Process land interface files
• Prepare journal entries or spreadsheet uploads, as required
• Void and cancel cheques
• Email EFT remittances
• Coverage for reception desk and provide other administrative support, as required.

Key Deliverables

• Establish relationships with peers throughout the organization to ensure a strong level of service is delivered, and;

• Timely and efficient processing of payment runs.
• Progress efficiency and automation initiatives within the department.

Essential Experience & Skills

• A minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounts Payable / Payment run position preferred
• Working knowledge of OpenInvoice, Qbyte Financial, Energylink and CheqMaster are an asset
• Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and multi-task effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively, confidentially, and professionally in a dynamic business environment
• Strong team player with the ability to build relationships and work constructively with others to achieve business goals
