Facilities Area Manager Leadership Role

Queen's University

Provide leadership and oversight as an Area Manager managing facilities and infrastructure operations. Ensure compliance and drive improvements in service delivery and performance. As an Area Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of buildings while delivering safe and cost-effective facilities services. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Operations and Maintenance, your role includes leading frontline operations staff and managing services. You will focus on asset performance and deferred maintenance planning, contributing to quality and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead frontline operations staff in assigned facilities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage service delivery and drive continuous improvement
  • Oversee asset performance and maintenance planning
  • Respond to emergency calls outside normal hours
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in facilities management
  • Leadership skills in operations oversight
  • Ability to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Strong focus on client satisfaction
  • Availability for emergency call-ins on a rotating basis
