Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Lead with an active Workday HCM Pro Certification to join our Workday Digital Capability Team (DCT). This role is responsible for supporting, configuring, enhancing, and optimizing Workday HCM while ensuring the platform remains stable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
As the Workday HCM Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will lead HCM configuration, troubleshoot complex issues, support releases and enhancements, and collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, vendors, and project teams to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Active Workday HCM Pro Certification (required)
- 7+ years of Workday experience supporting HCM implementation, configuration, and production support
- 4+ years of experience in Workday compensation configurations
- College diploma or certificate in IT, HRIS, Human Resources, Business Systems, or related field
- Experience supporting large, complex organizations, preferably in a unionized environment
- Strong knowledge of Workday HCM, Security, Business Processes, Reporting, and Integrations
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead SME for Workday Core HCM and Compensation
- Configure and maintain organizations, staffing models, positions, job profiles, worker data, and organizational structures
- Design and support business processes, approvals, notifications, validations, and security roles
- Develop and maintain calculated fields, reports, dashboards, and data audits
- Support employee lifecycle transactions including hires, transfers, promotions, reorganizations, leaves, and terminations
- Troubleshoot configuration, security, reporting, integration, and data-related issues
- Support Workday integrations, EIBs, Connectors, testing, releases, enhancements, and production support
- Partner with HR, Talent, Payroll, Finance, IT, and vendor teams
Large & Complex Workforce Experience
Support a highly complex workforce environment, including:
- Organizational and staffing model management
- Position and headcount administration
- Unionized and non-unionized employee populations
- Workforce restructures and organizational changes
- Data governance, compliance, and audit requirements
- Multi-location and multi-business-unit operations
