Advance your career as a General Psychiatrist at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, focusing on comprehensive psychiatric care in a beautiful coastal location. Engage with diverse patient groups and treatment modalities. This full-time position involves working with adults, children, and geriatric populations, providing both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to foster recovery-oriented practices. Manage a caseload of approximately 150 clients while being part of a supportive community of psychiatrists. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide thorough evaluations and treatments for complex psychiatric issues
- Oversee outpatient and inpatient caseload management
- Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams
- Mentor and teach residents in psychiatry
- Participate in on-call rotations with shared responsibilities
- Eligible for FRCPC designation
- Licensure with CPSBC is essential
- Strong dedication to collaborative teamwork
- Experience in trauma-informed care
- Interest in clinical teaching and research pursuits
