We are expanding our team of Artisans by hiring a Director of Business Development based in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada . This regional role serves as the primary business representative of RTI to our clients, overseeing all pricing proposals. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in consultative sales, a solid understanding of process improvement, and a competitive drive. Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with various levels of client personnel who control vessel cleaning decisions.
• Manage and develop a sales pipeline
• Create all pricing proposals for the territory; Pricing will be based upon the market value of the planning and cleaning technology with allowances for covering additional expenses (i.e. travel, etc.); Minimum corporate pricing targets must be achieved, and value documentation captured where applicable.
• Confirm the cleaning scope for each opportunity or event.
• Identify and track all client turnaround schedules, 18 months in advance, for the assigned territory.
• Be integrated in supporting the operations and mechanical planning meetings, scope changes and execution activities for all work awarded in the territory.
• Secure client purchase orders in a timely manner to assure that the RTI Operations team has enough advance notice to provide excellent service.
• Handle any accounts receivable, delay fee or holiday fee issues in the territory.
• Follow-up with clients to ensure that RTI’s cleaning met or exceeded their expectations. Finalize and present the Lessons Learned report(s) to the client’s key contacts.
• Follow-up with clients to obtain referrals, internal or external, for new business.
• Schedule and lead all sales presentations, working to position RTI as a preferred vendor.
• Through SITA (Skilled in the Art) training and other methods of learning, understand the RTI core cleaning processes to properly present the services to the clients. Know our strengths and limitations. Avoid offering services that are outside our core scope of business without Technical and Management approval.
• Look for opportunities with existing and prospective clients to attach additional RTI services outside of the core offerings which include but are not limited to ReNu, gas services, Cruz Alta, etc.
• Understand common industry piping circuits and equipment (PFD or P&ID interpretation)
• Actively practice all RTI Core Behaviors.
• Work in tandem with the DO for the area to ensure that clients receive prompt responses to their inquiries along with timely planning documents. Facilitate the timeline of deliverables.
• Perform other duties as required to support RTI’s business needs.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• This position requires a strong desire to build new relationships with multiple levels of personnel; thus cold calling experience is desired. 
• Basic communication skills required include excellent grammar, spelling, enunciation, brevity and confidence in a group presentation setting.
• Valid Driver’s License

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Refinery or Chemical Plant processes is a strategic advantage. 
• Experience in consultative sales combined with strong presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree (ChE, ME or BS/BA preferred), power engineering, or chemical or mechanical engineering technologist preferred
• Salesforce Knowledge or other CRM experience

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

• This job will require time in office, time in field, attendance at client events, and internal meetings.
• This job requires in-plant meetings and walkarounds in the refinery / plant setting. Special PPE is required in all plant (unit) settings. This includes FR clothing, hard hat, hearing protection, work boots and safety glasses. An RTI office is provided for administrative work. 

Travel Requirements

• This position can require up to 50 overnights per year.
