Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources:

• Oversee and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Alberta's employment laws and company regulations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and development.
• Promote a positive company culture that aligns with company values and encourages growth and collaboration.
• Develop and execute employee retention strategies.
• Provide strategic insights on workforce planning and talent acquisition.
• Ensure a fair and inclusive workplace environment through the implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Support and maintain effective relationships with in-house employees and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Business Development:

• Identify and explore new business opportunities, both within existing and new industries.
• Develop and implement growth strategies to expand the company's market presence.
• Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of industry trends and customer needs.
• Drive innovation within the business by suggesting and executing new initiatives, services, or products.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of client solutions.
• Actively manage customer relationships, providing excellent service and identifying new business potential.
• Collaborate with and build strong relationships with subcontractors and external partners to meet business goals.
• Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in both Human Resources and Business Development roles (3-5 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, Alberta employment laws, and best practices.
• Ability to navigate and manage a variety of employees, from in-house team members to subcontractors.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and innovative approach to challenges.
• Experience in customer service and building long-term customer relationships.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse teams and clients.
• Highly adaptable and open to learning and evolving with changing business needs.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, fostering a positive and motivating work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Previous experience in the industry is a plus but not mandatory - a willingness to learn and grow is key.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
