Overview
The Director of Sales will own the B2B revenue for Canada and lead a sales team in a B2B environment within the travel agency industry driving sales, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with B2B clients.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s customer base within the B2B sector.
- Lead the sales team, providing guidance, mentoring, and motivation to ensure they meet and exceed sales goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to enhance revenue streams and market presence.
- Lead cross-sell and upsell motions across Mondee marketplace products (air, hotel, ancillaries, fintech)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and market research initiatives.
- Represent Mondee at industry events, supplier conferences, and key customer engagements within the region
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management, highlighting performance metrics and areas for development.
Desired Skills
- 10 plus years leading a sales team in a B2B environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales management within the travel industry, particularly in B2B sales in Canada.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
