About Us: WePlay Centre is Markham's leading volleyball facility, featuring 6 premium indoor courts and 4 beach courts in a central, high-traffic location. We host year-round leagues, lessons, and tournaments and we're ramping up for a summer of high-impact, engaging volleyball camps for youth players.
Position Overview: We are seeking an organized, energetic, and team-oriented Camp Coordinator to lead the planning and smooth execution of our summer volleyball camps.This role is ideal for someone who has both a passion for youth sports and the operational mindset to manage day-to-day camp logistics while collaborating with coaches, marketing, and leadership to design standout camp offerings.
As a Camp Coordinator, you'll help shape our programming working to design schedules, build competitive offerings, ensure camper engagement, and drive parent interest and registrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning & Development
- Collaborate with leadership and coaches to design structured, age-appropriate volleyball camp programs.
- Help define and refine camp offerings, schedules, and unique features that make WePlay camps stand out.
- Identify themes, progression paths, skill levels, and special events to be incorporated into weekly camps.
Team Leadership & Daily Camp Execution
- Act as on-site lead during camp weeks supervising coaches and counselors to ensure smooth delivery.
- Serve as point of contact for day-to-day camp operations and any parent communication or issues.
- Ensure coaches are aligned on camp goals and deliver consistent, high-quality instruction and interaction.
Marketing Collaboration & Strategy
- Work closely with the marketing team to:
- Identify key selling points for each camp offering.
- Contribute to marketing calendar and messaging strategies targeting parents and youth.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns and assist with content planning.
- Track registration trends and suggest improvements to drive growth.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist with camp rosters, scheduling, equipment prep, and daily logistics.
- Ensure safety protocols, smooth check-in/out, and camper well-being are consistently upheld.
- Gather feedback from parents and participants to help improve future programming.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in youth sports, camp management, coaching, or program coordination preferred.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments (coaches, admin, marketing).
- Comfortable managing multiple schedules and adjusting to changing needs.
- Passion for volleyball, youth development, and delivering an exceptional camp experience.
- Available for planning meetings prior to summer and on-site leadership during camp weeks.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly or seasonal pay, based on experience and level of responsibility.

Pay: $15.00-$40.00 per hour
