We offer a variety of products, including flexible alternative mortgage solutions, for clients who may not fit within traditional guidelines, including those who are self-employed, commissioned or with bruised credit. The opportunity The Inside Mortgage Sales Manager will identify and implement strategies to increase fundings and efficiency ratios from CWB Optimum's future broker segment. This includes growing new broker clients, while expanding and fostering our current client base. Taking a collaborative approach and working with the outside sales team this candidate will focus on building strong partnerships with the overall goal to graduate brokers to partner status. This position is accountable for regular contact with assigned referral sources through verbal and digital communications using a consultative sales approach, with a lens on problem resolution, and enhancing opportunities presented. • Develop and execute a sales strategy and business development activities to achieve business goals
• Transitioning Brokers when Partner Status has been achieved
• Achieve assigned annual sales and close ratio targets
• Develop and implement processes and strategies to increase mortgage funding from identified referral sources
• Apply the tools provided by Marketing to enhance the interaction with the brokers and brokerage houses; build and maintain relationships with broker network while increasing overall broker volumes

Service Delivery

• Onboard new brokers and brokerages, while working effectively with management, underwriters, and documentation team to sustain a high level of service for all established brokers.
• Be aware of competitor intelligence and offer recommendations for improvements to Optimum's value proposition, and to remain driven in a constantly evolving industry
• Understand market conditions in the assigned regions including, but not be limited to, real estate data, regional employment influences, opportunities, or concerns in each region, across Canada.
• Conduct virtual presentations and meetings to develop partnerships and increased funding volumes from non-partner brokers

Building Relationships

• Ensure and promote open communication lines both internally and externally to achieve and exceed goals and objectives as established by management
• Long term absence coverage for Business Development Managers when required
• Make recommendations as required for improving all facets of the sales role, including but not limited to, reporting capabilities, training, marketing material, as well as internal and external interactions

Who we're looking for & what you've done Core Knowledge

• All things consumer / residential mortgage lending related!
• Business degree and sales focused education or equivalent work experience

Personal Competencies

• 2 years experience in a mortgage sales environment & dealing with all facets of the Canadian Mortgage Broker industry
• Previous relationship management experience required,
• Experience in marketing and sales and broker market knowledge
