Remote: Business Systems Analyst (BSA) - Temenos Core Banking & Deposits

Compensation: Up to CAD $120,000 per annum

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong expertise in Temenos Core Banking and Canadian Deposits to support enterprise banking initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Temenos Transact (T24) , Temenos Telemetry , API integrations , and AA Deposits while specializing in defining and managing Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) .

In this role, you will act as the technical bridge between business stakeholders, development teams, infrastructure, and operations, ensuring the Core Banking platform meets the highest standards for performance, security, scalability, availability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), including performance, scalability, availability, security, and compliance requirements.
• Define system capacity, uptime, response time, resiliency, and operational performance requirements.
• Design and recommend monitoring strategies using observability tools such as Temenos Telemetry , Grafana , Splunk , and Microsoft Application Insights .
• Review application, infrastructure, and database performance to identify bottlenecks and recommend optimization strategies.
• Define requirements for performance testing, load testing, stress testing, and security validation.
• Configure and optimize monitoring alerts to improve operational visibility while minimizing alert fatigue.
• Review incident management processes and recommend improvements for troubleshooting, escalation, and business communication.
• Analyze application logs, infrastructure metrics, and system configurations to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and platform resiliency initiatives.
• Recommend automation opportunities for maintenance, reporting, monitoring, and operational tasks using scripting.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, operational playbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate closely with Core Banking, Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Observability, and Command Centre teams throughout project delivery and production support.
• Ensure systems comply with organizational, regulatory, and security standards.

Required Technical Skills

Mandatory Experience

• Hands-on experience with Temenos Transact (T24) Core Banking platform.
• Experience with Temenos Telemetry for monitoring and observability.
• Experience with API integrations within banking applications.
• Strong knowledge of AA Deposits product configuration.
• Business knowledge of Canadian deposit products , including:
  • Term Deposits
  • Chequing Accounts
  • Registered Products
• Experience with financial services or banking environments.

Monitoring & Infrastructure

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools including:
  • Grafana
  • Splunk
  • Microsoft Application Insights
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience supporting enterprise servers, middleware, and distributed applications.

Databases & Automation

• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with scripting languages such as:
  • Python
  • PowerShell
• Experience automating operational processes and reporting.

Cloud & Networking

• Familiarity with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and infrastructure connectivity.

IT Service Management

• Understanding of ITIL best practices, including:
  • Incident Management
  • Problem Management
  • Change Management

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Core Banking platforms and enterprise application architecture.
• Excellent analytical and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to document technical requirements, solution designs, and operational procedures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise observability and monitoring platforms.
• Experience working on large-scale Core Banking modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of banking regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical financial systems.
