Gluten Free Baker

Job Responsibility:

Meal Prep for You is excited to announce a year-round gluten-free bakery prep position! We are a health-focused food company looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will bring a passion for baking, at least three years of industry experience, and strong skills, including precision in measuring ingredients, following recipes, and maintaining a clean, allergen-safe workspace. Confidence in a fast-paced kitchen environment is essential!

Compensation will be based on experience, attitude, and quality of work. We are currently hiring for a full-time position, with shifts primarily during daytime hours.

Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of gluten-free baked goods, including mixing batters, treats and fillings.
• Follow recipes and instructions from the head baker or kitchen manager to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain strict cleanliness and organization of the bakery area to prevent cross-contamination.
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with gluten-free safety regulations and health codes.
• Help with inventory management, including checking stock levels of gluten-free flours, binders, and specialty ingredients.
• Work collaboratively with the baking team to ensure timely production of products
• Participate in end-of-shift cleaning duties, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining an allergen-free environment.

Skills:

• Experience in a bakery environment, preferably with gluten-free baking experience.
• Strong knowledge of gluten-free baking techniques, including working with alternative flours and binders.
• Familiarity with food safety standards for gluten free production, including cross-contamination prevention.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills, with a willingness to assist in various bakery tasks as needed.
• Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
