Remote Senior Commercial Counsel at Prospeo

Join Prospeo as a Senior Privacy & Commercial Counsel, where you will manage privacy operations and commercial contracts remotely in Canada. Leverage your legal expertise in a fast-growing B2B SaaS environment. As the first dedicated legal hire for Prospeo, you will own the privacy program across various regulations, ensuring compliance while providing legal guidance for commercial matters. Your role will involve close collaboration with the co-founders and managing vendor agreements, privacy policies, and data protection obligations. You will take charge of data subject requests and align the legal function with the company's expansion needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily privacy program across multiple jurisdictions
- Oversee data subject access and deletion requests
- Maintain and update privacy policies and training materials
- Negotiate and draft commercial contracts for various purposes
- Serve as the company’s primary legal advisor
- Law degree (JD or equivalent) with Canadian bar admission
- CIPP/E certification is required
- 4+ years experience in commercial and privacy law
- Strong contract negotiation skills
- Familiar with AI tools for legal processes
