Director, Business and Process Optimization (Pharmacovigilance)

Ergomed seeks a Director of Business and Process Optimization for its pharmacovigilance function in Toronto. This leadership role focuses on strategic direction, cross-functional process improvement, departmental management, and organizational performance optimization within a complex healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and management direction for pharmacovigilance operations and cross-functional initiatives
Oversee process improvement projects, assess compliance with systems and applications, and drive continuous optimization
Lead large, complex cross-functional process improvement initiatives as business lead with strategic insights
Manage departmental staffing, budgeting, scheduling, recruitment, talent development, and formal performance management
Oversee process audits, CAPAs, and M&A integration activities as internal transformation consultant

Requirements

Life science, pharmacy, nursing, or healthcare-related degree or pharmacovigilance experience
Extensive pharmacovigilance experience with process improvement and safety systems expertise
Demonstrated line management and leadership experience in a service provider setting
Advanced proficiency in process development and improvement for clinical and post-marketing pharmacovigilance
Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Expert knowledge of clinical trial practices, regulatory guidelines, and pharmacovigilance technology systems
Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification preferred
