Lab Execution Systems Co-Op
$24 - $25 per hourThermo Fisher Scientific
Co-op position supporting implementation of a Laboratory Information Management System at a pharmaceutical facility. The role focuses on converting paper-based laboratory methods into digital workflows, managing sample databases, and assisting with instrument deployment and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Create digital laboratory method workflows in SM-LES system from paper-based templates
- Support LIMS deployment by updating electronic sample databases for analytical and microbiological laboratories
- Deploy simple laboratory instruments and calibrations using the SM-LES system
- Develop work instructions related to standard operating procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate records and provide assistance to laboratory chemists and supervisors
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; currently enrolled in chemistry or related college/university program
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Understanding of basic chemistry and common laboratory equipment operation
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative chemical or microbiological analysis
- Awareness of pharmaceutical quality and regulatory requirements
- Strong problem-solving and technical interpretation abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation: $24.00–$25.00 hourly (annualized)
