Lead Underwriter in Accident & Health

Elevate your career as an AVP Underwriting Specialist for Accident & Health with Everest in Toronto, Canada. Drive growth and manage key insurance portfolios with strategic partners. In this full-time role, you will oversee the Canadian A&H product line while acting as the lead underwriter and portfolio manager. Your expertise will enhance relationships with Programs and MGAs. You’ll negotiate coverages and pricing, supporting market expansion efforts to boost Everest’s impact in Canada. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead underwriting for Canadian A&H product line
- Drive profitable outcomes with key insurance partners
- Underwrite new business and manage renewals
- Collaborate with internal teams on business objectives
- Ensure compliance with Canadian regulatory standards
- Minimum of 10 years in production underwriting
- Experience with Group Accident insurance products
- Strong technical acumen in pricing and underwriting
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
