MTS 1 Backend Engineer with AI Focus

Become a key player in the Search Backend team at the company as a Member of Technical Staff 1. Drive advancements in search solutions while embracing AI tools for development. This role centers on backend development and delivery, ensuring shoppers enjoy optimized search experiences. You’ll take ownership of design and implementation, work across product and engineering to enhance relevance and performance, and push boundaries with innovative AI practices. Collaboration is at the heart of your work to ensure seamless operation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Design backend solutions for improved search query handling
- Manage full lifecycle from design to production monitoring
- Convert product requirements into structured technical designs
- Enhance reliability and developer efficiency across systems
- Drive continuous improvement in code and operational practices
- At least 6 years of experience in Java and Spring Boot
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems and APIs
- Interest in AI-driven development practices
- Proven ability to translate complex requirements into solutions
- Effective at navigating technical discussions
