We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Officer III to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this hybrid role, you will perform a combination of back-office operational tasks and direct customer support (inbound and outbound communications), with a heavy focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) inquiries and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance checks.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a top-tier financial institution, offering a collaborative environment, strong growth potential, and the possibility of contract extension or conversion based on performance and business needs.

Location: Mississauga, ON
Work Model: Hybrid (4 days on-site, 1 day work-from-home)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Standard 37.5-hour work week)

Responsibilities
Customer Support & Communications: Handle inbound and outbound customer inquiries via phone and written correspondence regarding AML requests, operational inquiries, and account verification.
KYC & AML Compliance: Perform comprehensive Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, accurately review financial information and client documentation, and report findings in alignment with regulatory guidelines.
Operational Execution: Execute general and specialized financial transactions accurately and on time, adhering strictly to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and productivity metrics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal compliance and investigation teams to resolve customer concerns, escalate non-standard or high-risk activities, and uphold regulatory standards.
Process Improvement: Actively review day-to-day workflows to identify service delivery improvements and operational efficiencies.
Record Keeping & Confidentiality: Maintain detailed records, exercise strict discretion when handling sensitive customer data, and comply fully with enterprise privacy and confidentiality frameworks.

Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
5–7 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry.
Hands-on experience conducting KYC checks and handling sensitive customer documentation/financial data.
Direct call center or direct-to-customer communication experience (inbound/outbound phone and email).
Post-secondary education degree or diploma.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook).
