The Department of Justice and Public Safety is seeking an individual in each location to perform administrative support duties for the Court Services Division in the Judicial district of Saint John.

What You Will Do

Duties will include:

• Client service
• Processing of court documents
• Handling of legal documents such as court orders and correspondence under strict deadlines
• Maintaining filing systems
• Handling cash payments
• Computer data entry
• and other related duties that may be assigned

Need To Have (their Essential Skills And Qualifications)

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of one (1) year post-secondary education in a related field
• Minimum of five (5) years related work experience
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required, please state your language capability.

Candidates must demonstrate on their applications how they have acquired the education and experience for this position. Your resumé should be in chronological order specifying education and employment in months and years including part-time and full-time employment. Operational Requirements

• Working past the normal work hours on occasion.

• At least one (1) year of administrative experience within a legal environment

Subject to the response to thiscompetition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

Technical competencies : The successful candidate will possess the following technical competency:

Wage

$1,816 - $2,205 biweekly based on education and experience

Work environment

• Office location: Saint John Courthouse
• Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15 - 4:30
