Job Type : part-time, permanent

Compensation : $19.00-$21.00 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Receptionist at Carmen’s Event Centre, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, creating a warm and professional welcome from the moment they arrive. In this fast-paced hospitality environment, you’ll provide exceptional service while supporting daily venue administration and sales coordination.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Respond to phone, email, website, and in-person inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
• Assist with event details, client concerns, catering inquiries, and directing requests to the appropriate team member
• Welcome clients and visitors, directing them to the appropriate area or person
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area and foyer
• Organize and maintain client files, records, and event documentation to ensure information is current and complete
• Receive and record client payments, and collect and distribute company mail
• Monitor office supply inventory and assist with purchase orders and vendor relationships
• Update client information and communications in Event Temple
• Assist with booking and confirming sales appointments and preparing client personal items for events
• Support the venue team with other administrative and event-related duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent work experience is an asset
• One to two years of customer service experience is required
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with Event Temple and handling payments is an asset
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills with close attention to detail
• A positive, professional approach and the ability to represent the organization well
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Flexible availability to work 9:00am-5:00pm during the week and on weekends
