Senior Data Engineer - Databricks/Spark Role

Be a part of VLink’s team as a Senior Data Engineer in Montreal, QC, focusing on advanced migration projects using Databricks and Snowflake. This contract role emphasizes hands-on data pipeline development. For 12 months, you will navigate the challenges of migrating complex regulatory reporting pipelines from legacy systems. The role demands expertise in Scala, Spark, and data engineering best practices to ensure seamless operations and data integrity. Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer production data pipelines using Databricks
- Optimize applications written in Scala and Spark
- Formulate and analyze SQL scripts for reporting
- Design efficient schemas in Snowflake
- Conduct data quality checks and reconciliation efforts
- Proven experience with Scala and Spark for production applications
- Competency in SQL and data analysis
- Familiarity with Azure and its services
- Experience with cloud migrations and orchestration tools
- Strong understanding of data engineering frameworks
