Job Overview: We are a queer family looking for short-term part-time childcare for 3-4 afternoons a week. This short-term job is from September 20-November 1, as we are travelling from Edmonton to the island for a pet sit and adventure trip! We are in Saanich from Sept 20-Oct 11, and Mechosin from Oct 11-Nov 1, so need someone who is willing to drive to these different locations. Parents have autoimmune/respiratory conditions so need someone who is willing to covid test and keep up on boosters. Will be working from home. Our 4yo is a a silly, playful, sweet, kiddo who loves to read, dance, swing, play, nature adventure, make art, and help in the kitchen. We want someone who shares our values of anti-racism and consent-based engagement. We are looking for someone with CPR and a background check. Wage and hours are negotiable depending on support for food and household tasks (help keeping up on dishes, tidying kids toys, laundry folding, and light meal prep would enable more hours). We have a 25 pound, affectionate, kiddo-loving dog. It would be great to work with a caregiver who would be happy to have her in the space, and take her along for some of the outside playtime.
