Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures ensuring patient comfort and efficiency.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required during patient appointments.
- Manage patient records accurately, updating charts and documenting treatment details.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Schedule appointments and assist in managing the flow of patients within the clinic.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and work areas.
Requirements
- Certified Dental Assistant credential from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience working as a dental assistant in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standards.
- Ability to operate dental equipment and technology, including digital X-ray systems.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the dental team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing patient records.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to providing high-quality dental care.
