Pharmacy Assistant

Pharmacy Assistant role supporting specialty pharmacy operations at Cencora's Innomar Strategies division in Burlington, Ontario. Position involves prescription processing, benefit verification, claims handling, and fulfillment activities while maintaining compliance with pharmacy standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with prescription filling and patient pickups
- Enter, scan, and process prescriptions using Kroll Pharmacy software
- Verify benefits, manage prior authorization support, and follow up on claims
- Order, receive, and maintain medication inventory; pack and ship orders per protocol
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and prepare billing documents
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years pharmacy support, healthcare operations, or related operational experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Pharmacy technician certification preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry and Kroll Pharmacy software as assets
