Job Responsibility:
Harrison Pensa is actively recruiting an experienced Litigation Law Clerk to join our team. We are looking for a self-driven individual who has a high attention to detail that will be successful in a fast-paced practice.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and drafting correspondence and legal documents;
- Preparing necessary documents, forms, materials and filings for lawyer;
- Ensure accurate legal documents are prepared within timelines set by the lawyer(s) or applicable court dates;
- Communicate with clients and other external parties regarding initial intake or ongoing file management;
- Managing and tracking deadlines, including maintaining file organization;
- Other duties as required.
The successful candidate ideally has the following qualifications:
- Post secondary Law Clerk diploma or related discipline;
- 5+ years previous Legal Assistant/Law Clerk experience;
- Litigation experience is required;
- Highly organized with attention to detail who is able to prioritize workloads;
- Time management skills to succeed in fast paced practice;
- Professional attitude who is courteous and client focused;
- Ability to work as a team player as well as independently;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and Legal Industry software's.
