Job Description

The client is looking for a hands-on Scrum Master, not an agile corporate coach or a project manager in disguise. The role is described as a facilitator of squads, a sprint backlog manager, and a protective interface between the team and its ecosystem.

The context is a transformation of performance and financial disclosure processes, straddling finance and technology (data, Oracle EPM Cloud). This indicates a need for someone capable of keeping pace with finance stakeholders and technical teams on the same day.

Recurring words in the description are team autonomy, transparency, removing roadblocks, sprint predictability, and performance indicators. The real priorities are facilitation and progress measurement, not theoretical methodology. The role coexists with product owners and a project manager, so the candidate must accept a scope without management authority and be able to guide a product owner without replacing them.

Knowledge of financial processes and experience in the financial sector are explicitly assets: they should not become entry filters. The only specific requirement for this role is 5 years of relevant experience, with a bachelor's degree in a suitable discipline.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supporting teams in implementing and using the Agile approach for large-scale projects. Facilitating Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban) and supporting continuous improvement.

• Ensuring the Scrum team/squad is functional, productive, and well-organized. Ensuring the efficient use of the application.

Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools, and committed to Agile values. Identify and track key performance indicators.

• Ensure transparency regarding work progress. Address and follow up on obstacles raised by the team.

• Ensure alignment of sprint backlog tasks with product backlog feature commitments.

• Guide the product owner to maximize ROI, achieve objectives, and effectively manage the product backlog.

• Ensure quality control of the product backlog and all sessions (sprint planning meetings, product backlog maintenance and estimation sessions, and sprint reviews).

• Contribute to a high-performing, autonomous, and value-driven work environment

Requirements

Mandatory requirement:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Experience as a Scrum Master in a complex, multidisciplinary environment Experience managing projects using Agile methodologies

Strong communication and facilitation skills

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline

Facilitation of Scrum and Kanban ceremonies; continuous improvement initiatives

Tracking performance and sprint predictability metrics (burndown/progress charts, velocity)

Supporting the Product Owner in product backlog management

Ability to manage uncertainty and ambiguity; influence-based leadership

Knowledge of financial processes

Experience in the financial sector

Exposure to a data ecosystem or Oracle EPM Cloud

▸ Candidate whose agile experience is limited to a recent certification without Scrum Master mandates.

▸ Business analyst or product owner who has facilitated a few caucuses without having served as Scrum Master.

▸ Candidate with less than 5 years of relevant experience.

▸ Candidate who demands hierarchical authority over the team or refuses to work alongside a Product Owner and a Project Manager.
