Job Responsibility: Sports Sales Associate

Healthy Planet is looking for a sales associate who is knowledgeable about sports nutrition to join our Healthy Planet family. The selected candidate will be responsible for processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. The selected candidate will also exhibit passion about the health and wellness industry and will be eager to grow with the company.

Job Duties:

• Greet customers and help them find products that adequately meet their needs
• Explain product features and promotions
• Keep departments clean and organized up to stores standards
• Performs inventory checks and reports findings to the manager
• Attend team meetings and trainings to stay up to date on the latest sales techniques and product
• Push sales quotas to help accomplish sales goals
• Adheres to company policies and procedures
• Process transactions via POS

• Interact well with fellow employees and encourage teamwork

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
• Product knowledge
• Background in sales
• Organizing and merchandising skills
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English with customers, peers and management
• Telephone etiquette
• Ability to multitask, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
• Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting and climbing ladders
• Customer service focus
• Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
• Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and overnight shifts

• Retail Team Lead/Supervisor experience is a strong asset
