Production Supervisor

Les tâches

• Supervise daily production activities and lead a team of approximately 25 employees and agency personnel.
• Assign work and coordinate labour and equipment to meet production schedules, priorities, and deadlines.
• Promote a safety-first culture on the floor by ensuring safe work practices, proper PPE use, and compliance with Ontario health and safety regulations.
• Act as the floor’s primary liaison for the EHS Manager and participate in inspections and incident follow-up activities.
• Ensure SQF, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are consistently applied on the production floor and participate in audits.
• Monitor productivity and quality, and respond promptly to issues affecting output.
• Train, coach, and support production employees and agency workers.
• Participate in daily production meetings and work closely with the Plant Manager, Maintenance, and Purchasing teams.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Salary of $68,000 to $74,000 per year.
• Permanent, salaried position: 40 hours per week, day shift (production runs 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.).

Exigences du poste

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including production supervision or team leadership.
• Experience in food manufacturing or food packaging.
• Working knowledge of SQF, HACCP, and/or GMP standards.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of Ontario occupational health and safety requirements.
• Experience planning and coordinating production activities on the floor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills in English and the leadership ability to motivate and engage a team.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• College diploma or university degree in Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is considered an asset.
