Major Projects Director, Mobility Canada

Role description

Arcadis Canada is looking for a Major Projects Director to lead the pursuit and delivery of major projects across the country for the Mobility Global Business Area (GBA). This role will optimize Arcadis’ global financial and brand position, managing highly complex projects that span multiple countries and are multi‑year, delivering benefits across the Mobility GBA.

Role accountabilities

In this role you will win and deliver major projects, developing detailed project execution strategies to support high‑value project pursuits and playing a lead role in the pursuit process. You will manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and ensure commercial viability and customer satisfaction. Working with GBA leadership, you will review and support high‑risk projects and contribute to wider organizational initiatives to improve performance. You will influence senior stakeholders and manage critical relationships to ensure all parties are informed and aligned about how to deliver project objectives.

This candidate will lead, motivate, and develop a diverse project team of senior specialists, setting objectives, reviewing performance, and ensuring staff are driven and possess the required skills to deliver the project objectives. You will lead strategic negotiations, including contract negotiations with customers, contractors, stakeholders, and major suppliers.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree
• 15+ years of experience pursuing and leading major projects within a multinational engineering or professional services firm
• Qualifications in financial/business management, client management, innovation, and leadership are highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience creating and leading high‑performing teams

The salary range for this position is $197,000 – $247,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position; actual salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
