Support Assistant for Autism Spectrum Disorder

Take on a pivotal role as an Autism Support Assistant with Kerry’s Place, dedicated to enhancing lives through focused support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Join a team where every day is filled with new learning opportunities and adventures. Reporting to the Manager Services and Supports, your focus will be on providing exceptional care and support for individuals diagnosed with ASD. You'll need a proactive approach to fostering social skills, ensuring medication administration, and addressing personal fulfillment objectives in an inclusive work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Train individuals in essential social skills and leisure activities
- Develop strategies to overcome obstacles to quality of life
- Administer medications as per established procedures
- Follow all Behavioral and Crisis Protocols as required
- Nurture positive engagement with families and support networks
- Human Services Diploma or related experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to physically assist adults with ASD
- Valid G2 Driver’s License, reliable vehicle access
- Willingness to complete NVCI certification training
