Senior Accountant Role at CANARIE

Join CANARIE as a Senior Financial Accountant and play a pivotal role in accounting and financial reporting. This full-time position focuses on compliance and process improvements. This permanent role reports to CANARIE's Director of Finance Operations. Candidates should showcase strong accounting proficiency and a knack for problem-solving. You will lead financial reporting efforts and streamline finance processes, contributing to informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities:

Draft financial statements with working papers and reconciliations
Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities
Ensure compliance by analyzing complex transactions
Manage and facilitate external audits effectively
Collaborate on budgeting and financial planning efforts

Requirements:

At least 7 years of experience in finance or accounting
In-depth understanding of Canadian GAAP
Experience with finance process automation preferred
Exceptional skills in Excel and other ERP systems
Strong judgment and communication abilities
