Protective Services Worker Pembroke Office
FAMILY & CHILDREN SERV.
Play a pivotal role in child welfare as a Protective Services Worker at Family & Children’s Services of Renfrew County in Pembroke. Your expertise in assessing risks and applying anti-oppressive practices will be key. Working in a 1.0 FTE capacity, you will deliver protection services following the Ontario Child Protection Standards. This role encompasses investigations, case management, and collaboration with community partners, reinforcing the importance of children having a voice in their care. Your approach will be fundamental in achieving positive outcomes for families. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop safety plans
- Manage ongoing protection cases and service coordination
- Document all case interactions accurately and timely
- Engage in family-led decision-making processes
- Comply with relevant legislation and agency policies
- Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum one year in child welfare or related services
- Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Understanding of child-centered and trauma-informed approaches
